Tufenkian Heritage Hotel
The newest member of Tufenkian Heritage Hotels, Tufenkian Historic Yerevan Hotel, opened its doors in September 2012 in the heart of downtown Yervevan, one of the oldest cities in the world. Tufenkian Historic Yerevan Hotel offers 83 rooms, a bar/lounge, conference center and features a traditional Kharpert Restaurant, which offers age-old Western and Eastern Armenian cuisine.
It was a short stay for me at Tufenkian Heritage Hotels but boy, did I appreciate it. I was greeted with a smile even though it was the middle of the night. Arriving at almost 5am it was so nice to walk into such a great room and be able to go right to sleep. I loved how the room was modern but also had a very Armenian feel at the same time.
When I woke up I was able to see just how great the location of Tufenkian Heritage Hotels was. The famous Vernisage outdoor craft and souvineer market was set up right outside with performers as well! I could hear them while I was getting ready and it was quite entertaining to listen to. The shower was really nice and I also liked the European balconies as well. The front desk staff were very engaging and I really enjoyed talking with them about Armenia (and how I would like to visit again soon) as well as my trip.
The location really could not have been better. I was able to walk and see everything that I wanted to in Yerevan within ten minutes, and it was situated right in the very heart of the center. The hotel itself was very inviting from the outside as it was an old, charming exterior with a chic and unique lobby. I might not have stayed at Tufenkian Heritage Hotels for very long, but I’m very grateful to have had such a nice place to catch up on some sleep for a few hours. My stay was the very definition of short but sweet!
